KITD, through its iREACH project, is a pioneer in the use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in the empowerment process of poor rural communities in Cambodia. Through the use of ICTs, villagers are better able to improve their social, cultural and economic well being. This has been, and is being, accomplished through sourcing and installing appropriate low-cost Internet and ICT systems, and building the capacity of community members to use these to access information and to create and share knowledge relevant to their lives.
