This is a bilingual dictionary with the meanings of each headword given in English. It can be searched for both English and Cook Islands words.
This online dictionary is aimed at providing quick access for learners and speakers of the languages of the Cook Islands. The Cook Islands languages are closely related to the indigenous languages of Tuamotu, Aotearoa/New Zealand, Hawai‘i, the Marquesas, Tahiti and the Society Islands.
The aim of this online dictionary is to eventually have separate dictionaries for each of the indigenous languages of the Cook Islands. Viewers will be able to select the language they wish to access from the drop-down box. Initially this dictionary will have Mangaian and Rarotongan.
