Appropriating Technology is the blog of Tony Roberts (aka @phat_controller)

Tony’s bio from his site: “After 25 years as a practitioner I have recently returned to school to study how ICT4D should be done, ‘in theory’. I am a second-year PhD candidate at Royal Holloway, University of London at the ICT4D Centre.

Prior to beginning my PhD I founded, and for 14 years was the CEO of Computer Aid International. Before that I co-founded, and for 10 years was the Executive Director of CODA International. For four years I was an associate lecturer in New Technology & Education in the Innovations Studies Unit of the University of East London. I was elected as a founding Director & Trustee of BOND and served on the board for four years. I recently co-founded Web Gathering, an online conferencing organisation, and serve as a Trustee of The Restart Project.”

He writes mostly about ICT4D and related areas.
